Large-scale Russian Assaults Eliminate Power Throughout Kyiv

Power facilities targeted in the region
The country's energy systems have come under escalating attacks in the past few days

Overnight, Moscow's aerial assaults have caused electricity outages in extensive areas of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were hurt while inhabitants in eastern neighborhoods were left without electricity and encountered problems to water supplies, per reports from city officials.

Simultaneously, a young boy was killed in a distinct aerial attack in the southeastern region in the country's south-east, according to local officials.

Russian forces has intensified attacks on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while the country's government has called for "concrete actions" from international partners to exert influence on Russia.

"What's needed is not symbolic gestures but decisive action - from the America, European nations and the G7 - in supplying defensive weapons and applying restrictions," was stated in a social media post.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and more than 30 missiles attacked the country's power systems, describing such assaults as "strategic and deliberate" and against "essential services" as temperatures become colder.

Government representatives said Russia was "conducting extensive attacks" and technical staff were laboring to restore power.

A series of attacks damaged electrical systems and residential structures in the capital.

Several of the people wounded in the attacks on the city have been transported for medical care, per statements from city authorities.

Local officials said the metropolitan region endured significant strikes overnight. A seven-year-old child lost their life and multiple civilians were hurt.

The attacks come after periods of air raids in the region, portions of which are currently controlled by Russian forces.

The entire country is under warning for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are tougher to spot.

National leaders told the media that Moscow was intentionally trying to demolish the country's energy grid, with attacks already impacting gas facilities.

Authorities confirmed energy workers and authorities were preparing for additional strikes.
